Being a Property Manager
Property Managers are responsible for the exterior and grounds associated with the residence, as well as the upkeep, maintenance and amenities that fall within its borders. Property Managers generally oversee internal team members such as groundskeepers, housemen, housekeepers and also manage outside vendors.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintenance of the estate & accompanying grounds
- Managing on-premise amenities including landscape design and architecture, irrigation, water features, HVAC, lighting and appliances
- Overseeing estate-wide security and smart home systems
- Hands-on with repairs and handiwork as needed; ability to asses a situation before calling vendors
- Scheduling, coordinating, and managing vendors; approving invoices once work is complete
- Construction, home renovation, and project management
Skillset Required
- Ability to schedule and manage relevant vendors, review and approve invoices
- Knowledge of landscaping and grounds care
- Experience managing facades and exterior structures
- Maintenance of estate amenities including landscape design and architecture, irrigation, water features, HVAC, lighting and appliances, etc
