Being an Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistants support office staff in all aspects of internal organization. This role may work directly for one principal / manager or support a team of executives. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all calendaring, timekeeping, and overall ad hoc support on a daily basis.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a busy and ever-changing calendar with constant communication and follow-up
  • Handling special requests, projects, and related duties as needed
  • Answering phone calls and relaying messages promptly
  • Handling all aspects of correspondence and package deliveries
  • Running errands; supply procurement

Skillset Required

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
  • Computer savvy with proficiency in PC systems, including Outlook, Word and Excel programs
  • Polished and professional in both mindset and manor; use of utmost discretion at all times
  • Expressing eagerness to execute tasks efficiently and exceed expectations
