Private client seeks dedicated, professional, and self-starter Housekeeper to assist with the overall care, upkeep, and laundry of their residence in Greenwich, CT. Due to COVID-19, this position will require to live-in 7 days a week with a 5-day flex workweek, with overriding flexibility for longer hours and additional days. Private accommodations with a separate bathroom will be provided. The requirement to live-in will not be required once school year is completed. This role requires full FLEXIBILITY to travel to the family’s secondary home in San Francisco, CA for several months at a time.
This position requires to work alongside and effectively communicate with the Executive Housekeeper, Property Manager and Chief of Staff as well as other staff members. This individual will oversee all maintenance and housekeeping duties. A keen eye is important to preserve the aesthetic of the residence. This individual will be a motivated self-starter and possess a “no task is too big or small” attitude. The candidate must have exceptional time management and task prioritization skills in order to efficiently assist with the running of the residence. The most successful candidate will be self-starter with the ability to manage projects with little to no directions. The position will require to prepare and cook meals as needed on rotation with the Executive Housekeeper.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence including mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (antiques, crystal, china, silver, brass, stone, marble, fabric/upholstery, artwork, and other specialty surfaces)
• Willingness to run routine errands such as doing laundry, dry cleaner, groceries etc.
• Preparing family-style meals as needed
• Procurement of household supplies and groceries and online shopping
• Assisting with special events; setting up and cleaning up
• Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas; taking inventory of all household items
• Sorting mail and handling deliveries
• Additional general Housekeeper duties upon request; constant need for overriding flexibility and exceeding expectations

• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Minimum 5+ years related experience working in a related role for a private family
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Extensive knowledge in special surfaces (antiques, china, porcelain, marble etc.)
• Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, laundry, ironing and storage organization
• Genuine team player; energetic and positive attitude; outgoing and hands-on where no task is too big or too small
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
• Strong management skills REQUIRED; ability to manage projects
• Cooking skills REQUIRED; able and willing to prepare healthy, family-style meals as needed
• Providing pet-care as needed
• Technologically savvy; knowledgeable with smart phones, computers, printers, TV, and smart home systems
• Valid Driver’s License; confident driver
