Private Westchester school seeks an experienced, energetic, and knowledgeable Montessori Teacher to join their team. This position consists of a Monday – Friday schedule, 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will provide strategic educational approaches to enhance children’s development and learning. Additionally, the candidate is responsible for creating lesson plans and curricula focused on developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional skills, assessing children’s individual needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develop children’s learning, social and creative skills
• Candidate must seek to create a playful, caring, safe, and inspiring atmosphere for the children
• Creating and engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities
• Must strive to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment for the home, as well as developing a nurturing and trusting relationship for the children

• Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• 4-year degree from an accredited College or University in Education or Teaching is a major plus
• Montessori Certificate or similar is required
• Minimum 3 – 5+ years of experience as a pre-school or nursery teacher
• Must be comfortable working in a household with pets
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
• Physically agile; able to keep up with active children
• Legally able to work in the United States
