Private family on the Upper East Side seeks a proactive, detail-oriented Housekeeper to assist in the daily cleaning, care, and service of their residence. This schedule for this position is Thursday – Sunday, 10 – 12 hours per day with the flexibility for additional hours as needed. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, have strong knowledge of deep cleaning services in addition to primary housekeeping duties, and a proactive attitude towards keeping the home in pristine order. The candidate must also be able to travel to the Hamptons during the summertime and to Connecticut occasionally.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• All aspects of general housekeeping, deep cleaning, and upkeep of the residence
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning
• Laundry service & managing items sent out for professional care
• Willing and able to prepare light, healthy meals when needed
• Performing light food and beverage service as needed
• Superior organization skills and willingness to go above and beyond in all aspects of the job
• Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas
• Maintaining residence for guest readiness at all times
• Willingness to run routine errands such as dry cleaners, groceries, etc. when needed
• Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family

• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 - 7+ years of experience working in a private home
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
• Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, laundry, and organization
• Cooking skills, a major plus
• Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Valid Driver’s License is PREFERRED, a confident driver with a clean driving record
• Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
• Legally able to work in the United States
