Private family seeks a highly efficient IT Manager to oversee maintenance and operations across multiple venues and properties. The Ideal candidate will have a strong background of I/T management, and VIP service. This position is for an intelligent, hardworking and flexible candidate, who can clearly and effectively communicate in a respectful and fast-paced working environment. While this is generally a Monday-Friday position based in the family office, flexibility is important as remote availability on nights and weekends to troubleshoot and address issues as they arise is a part of the role. Some weekend work on-site may be required as well.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Must be able to thoroughly explain in simple terms new technology, the ability to explain complex technology changes in simple easy to understand terms
• Diagnose issues and provide creative effective solutions while troubleshooting hardware, software, and printing issues
• Working with a tech vendor to provide seamless, uninterrupted service across all residences, systems, and devices
• Streamlining all residences and devices for consistency and efficiency
• Provide preventative hardware maintenance, replacement and repair of desktops and laptop computers
• Provide troubleshooting activities involving recognizing, researching, documenting and accurately resolving users’ needs while following up to verify thorough completion of requests.
• Install, configure, and deploy technology according to organization standard specifications and coordinate the addition of new employees including network access, printer installs, mapped drives and email setup
• Support mobile users for network access, email support and troubleshooting
• Work to eliminate recurring problems and reasons for trouble issues
• Track inventory of all computer equipment
• Document, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair IT and AV systems
• Must be knowledgeable in A/V system troubleshooting, cable TV systems, whole house audio systems and analogue audio works
• Must have general working knowledge of A/V equipment and how it works i.e TVs, amplifiers, turntables, speakers, and projectors as well as A/V wiring and A/V system interconnections
| | | Requirements:
• 4 year degree from accredited college or university in IT, Computer Science, Business or a related field of study or equivalent experience in IT Asset Management working for a private individual or Fortune 500 company
• Minimum of 5 – 7+ years related experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Prior experience working with high-tech smart home and AV systems including Crestron, Lutron, Savant, Sonos, or Kaleidoscope PREFERRED
• Proficiency with both MAC and Windows operating systems required including Bootcamp software
• Creative and intuitive in problem-solving; extremely resourceful
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills; strong follow-up and attention to detail
• “Hands-on”, proactive, motivated with a “can do” attitude
• Comfortable working in a home with both children and pets
• Willing and able to work long hours and overtime as needed
• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid Passport or enhanced ID for potential Domestic travel
