Private Upper East Side individual seeks an experienced, honest, and hardworking Housekeeper to help manage their home. The position is Live-Out or Live-In and consists of a five-day schedule, roughly 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, have a strong knowledge of laundry services in addition to primary housekeeping duties, and formal dining experience. The ideal candidate must be flexible to travel to Southampton on weekends and during the summer. Private accommodations inclusive of a private bedroom and bathroom will be provided should the candidate wish to live-in.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, antiques, silver, etc.)
• Completing the family’s laundry including washing, ironing, and steaming fine garments and tablecloths
• Caring for fine garments and carefully packing/unpacking
• Serving formal dinner’s
• Superior organization skills and willingness to go above and beyond in all aspects of the job
• Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manor; use of utmost discretion at all times
• Willingness to run routine errands such as doing laundry, dry cleaner, groceries, etc.
• Daily cleaning, care, and upkeep of the residence
• Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family

• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 3 - 7+ years of experience working in a private home
• Self-motivated and self-starter; ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
• Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, laundry, ironing, and storage organization
• Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
• Legally able to work in the United States
