Private Upper East Side family seeks a Live-Out Housekeeper to assist with the daily cleaning, care, laundry, light cooking and guest greeting primarily based from their New York residence. The position consists of a five-day flexible workweek, with willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed. The candidate must be willing to travel frequently to their secondary Hamptons residence to provide seamless service as requested. When traveling, private accommodations will be provided.The ideal candidate will feel comfortable answering doors and phones, taking messages, coordinating vendor-related specifics and light project management in addition to the primary housekeeping role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, furniture, antiques, silver, brass, fine artwork, etc.)
• Grocery shopping for the family and residence; ensuring proper groceries and stock levels are in residence at all times
• Maintenance of home for guest readiness at all times including making beds, preparing rooms etc.
• Managing and assuming laundry duties for the children and family
• Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas
• Assisting in the daily care, nurturing, feeding and supervision of the children
• Light and healthy family-style cooking for the children as needed
• Additional Housekeeper responsibilities associated with the role as needed and requested

• Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 3 – 5+ years related experience working in a private home in a similar role or roles for a private family
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a large domestic team
• Comfortable working in a home with four active children as well as pets; light pet care required
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
• Light healthy and fresh family-style cooking may be required
• Computer savvy with proficiency in both Mac and PC systems, including Office, Internet and email; proficient in ordering online groceries, household products, etc.
• Valid Driver’s License is a PLUS; confident driver with clean record
• Valid Passport; willingness to travel both domestic and abroad as needed and upon request
• Legally able to work in the United States
