Private New York-based family seeks experienced House Manager / Family Assistant to work with all family members, in and around multiple residences, schedules, and to manage the day-to-day aspects of their personal lives. This position consists of a Wednesday – Sunday, schedule with overriding flexibility to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally as many summer weekends will be spend in the Hamptons and the family travels extensively. The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, as the position requires arranging travel, budget, finance & heavy calendar management for multiple members of the family – paying particular attention to the principal’s adult children. Success in this role will depend on the ability to be in constant liaising with the Family Office, Domestic Staff, Estate Manager, and the primary principal to ensure seamless communication.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
• Working with a domestic team as well as building staff and maintenance to ensure seamless service throughout residences and maintaining stock levels
• Acting as a liaison to the Executive and Personal Assistants, Family Office, and Principals
• Personal shopping, running errands, and concierge work
• Traveling with the client as needed to and from their secondary residences, on vacation, etc.
• Coordinating with additional staff to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are performed in a timely manner
• Corresponding with university, hotel, and travel personnel
• Managing all vendor and contractor relationships including calendaring, accounts payable, project management, etc.
• Additional residence and hospitality-related tasks and responsibilities as needed and upon request

• Strong command of English language required and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 3 – 5+ years related experience working in a private home in similar role(s)
• Experience working with families with teenage and young adults REQUIRED
• Background in military and/or law enforcement a STONG PLUS but not required
• Exceptional organization skills and multitask management
• Incredibly “hands-on” and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to assess and identify interior maintenance issues and oversee the projects from start to finish
• Understanding of family and executive office communication
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude
• Experience in dealing with smart home systems; adept in using both mac and PC platforms
• Must have experience working in high stress, fast-paced environments where the utmost discretion and confidentiality are required
• Flexible scheduling with availability to work long hours, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Valid Driver’s License; confident driver, zero points
• Valid Passport; willing and able to travel both domestically and abroad as needed
