Prominent California family is seeking to hire an experienced and professional Estate Manager / Director of Residence to assist with the overall maintenance and operations across 10 residences on the East and West Coast. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large household staff, contractors, and vendors across multiple properties. The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and efficient. This position consists of a five-day workweek, Monday-Friday, roughly 8:30am-6:30pm with overriding flexibility for extended hours as needed and requested. This position will require 24/7 on-call availability via phone and emails. The candidate will be working primarily out of the family’s main residence in California where a private office space will be available. This role will involve traveling between residences as needed. Effective communication, decision-making, and management skills are required as this role has many moving parts

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Managing day-to-day household functions of several residences
• Traveling between residences across the East and West Coast to ensure seamless operations
• Hiring, onboarding, and supervising all household staff across all properties
• Implementing new estate-wide systems including but not limited to, operating manuals, day-to-day check lists, household supply lists, etc.
• Oversight of all deliveries, renovation projects and general maintenance of the residence
• Negotiating and managing all vendor and contractor relationships including calendaring, project management, etc.
• Coordinating schedules with other members of household staff, flight crew, and assistants to maintain continuity between residences
• Managing with all aspects of large- and small-scale events
• Any and all additional Estate Manager / Director of Properties responsibilities as they arise and upon request


• Strong command of English language; superior communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 - 10+ years related experience working in for a private home or family in a similar role
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Polished, poised and professional in both mindset and manor; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality required at all times
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; proactive with an above and beyond attitude
• Adept in the use of smart home technology and MAC systems
• Detail oriented with meticulous organization, task management and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
• MUST be flexible and willing to travel to multiple residences across the East and West Coast
• Valid Driver’s License; confident driver with zero points on license
• Legally able to work for any employer in the United States
