NYC-based Family seeks an experienced and hardworking Live-Out Executive Housekeeper to clean and oversee their secondary residence in Los Angeles. This position consists of a 5-day flexible schedule, with flexibility to work additional hours and days as needed, especially when family is in residence. Typically, the hours will be 9am to 5pm, however if the principals are entertaining, a later shift may be requested. Additional housekeepers travel to the residence with the family.

The ideal candidate should have a proactive attitude. Main responsibilities include: keeping the home guest-ready at all times, maintaining household stock levels, and scheduling and overseeing vendors for any required maintenance. This person must be proactive and detail-oriented in order to notice what needs to be fixed or maintained.

Experience with food service is a major PLUS as the family does entertain often when in residence, but they are also willing to teach these skills for the right fit. Basic cooking skills are required to make simple breakfasts and lunches for the clients according to their preferences. Knowledge of steaming, pressing, ironing, caring for fine fabrics, and identifying which items must be sent out for professional care is required as laundry management is a large part of the role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (antiques, crystal, china, silver, brass, stone, marble, fabric/upholstery, artwork, and other specialty surfaces)
• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence
• Oversee vendors and inspect the interior and exterior and of estate and ensure projects are handled seamlessly from concept to completion
• Grocery shopping for the family and residence; ensuring proper groceries are in stock at all times
• Washing, ironing and folding linens, towels and clothing; managing items sent out for professional care
• Assisting with packing and unpacking for moving and travel; wardrobe maintenance and organization
• Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas
• Willingness to run routine errands such as doing laundry, dry cleaner, groceries etc.
• Additional Housekeeping and House Management duties as needed and requested by the family

• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 – 7+ years of experience working in a private home
• Experienced with general and deep housekeeping responsibilities
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team of a full-time gardener and additional Housekeeper that travels with the family from the East Coast
• Experience assessing exterior and interior issues and managing vendors
• Adept with Mac / PC platforms and online orders
• Ability and willingness to run and errands and provision before principal’s arrival
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
• Some cooking skills required; ability to prepare light breakfasts and lunches
• Legally able to work in the United States
