Description:

Prominent family seeks a proactive, responsible, warm, organized and detail-oriented House Manager to assist with the service, coordination, management, and maintenance of their New York residence at a luxury hotel, as well as their Hamptons residence. The position is full-time, Live-Out, and consists of a typical five-day workweek, although the candidate should expect to be on call and available 24/7. The ideal candidate will thrive in an unpredictable, high-pressured, and unstructured environment. This individual will act as gatekeeper to the principals and organize all aspects of their life. A keen eye is important to preserve the aesthetic of the residence. This individual will be a motivated self-starter and possess a “no task is too big or small” attitude. Strong leadership skills are essential, as this individual must onboard, train, and manage the other members of the domestic staff. The candidate must have exceptional time management and task prioritization skills in order to efficiently assist with the running of the residences.

Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
•Management of household staff and on-site vendor management
•Serving as an all around gatekeeper to the principals
•Managing children’s schedules, setting up appointments
•Driving children when needed
•Assisting with calendar planning, scheduling, travel coordination, and 
meeting logistics
•Personal shopping, stock procurement, running errands, and concierge work; household inventory management
•Demonstrating a hands-on approach to daily house maintenance
•Performing Butler duties while the family is in residence
•Ensuring the residence is in pristine guest-readiness condition at all times
•Providing formal and informal food service
•Electronic maintenance, ensuring all laptops, phones, etc. are charged and ready for the day
•Answering phone calls and emails, etc.
•Oversight of all deliveries, renovation projects and general maintenance of the residence; making client aware of any necessary repairs or purchases that are beyond the scope of the household staff
•Additional House Manager / Butler responsibilities as requested by the principals
