Private Upper West side family seeks energetic and efficient House Manager / Personal Assistant to assist with the daily care and upkeep of their residence and attend to all needs associated with the principals, the children and the residence. The position is full-time, Live-Out and consists of approximately 5 working days per week, approximately Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with a constant need for overriding flexibility. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-pressured, and structured environment.

This role consists of both household management and personal assistant responsibilities. The family consists of Mr., Mrs., their two children and their three dogs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all administrative aspects of the home as well as personal tasks as requested. The House Manager / Personal Assistant must ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the principal’s life with little to no direction. Must be comfortable making high level judgment calls while acting in the best interest of the principal.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Serving as an all-around gatekeeper to the principal
• Caring for the three dogs: pet sitting, feeding, medicating, walking
• Personal shopping, running errands, driving, and concierge work
• Maintaining a busy and ever-changing calendar with constant communication and follow-up
• Overseeing household staff
• Assisting with planning, set-up, organization and seamless orchestration of small to large-scale events
• Responsible for onboarding and training of additional household staff including overseeing their related tasks, responsibilities and schedules
• Managing and coordinating with all vendors and contractors
• Oversight of all deliveries, renovation projects and general maintenance of the residence
• Any additional House Manager / Personal Assistant duties as needed upon request

• Strong command of English language; superb communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 – 10+ years related experience working in a similar role for a private estate or family
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year College or University
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude
• Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work long hours and overtime as needed
• Polished, poised, and professional; strong time management skills and task prioritization
• Incredibly hand on approach to household management; experience and ability to provide formal and informal service
• Comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment where the utmost discretion and confidentiality are required
• Exceptional “razor-sharp” eye for detail and organizational skills, aesthetically-minded
• Technology savvy with proficiency in both Mac and PC Operating systems
• Must be comfortable working with pets, preferably dogs
• Willing and able to work in a home with children and pets, providing occasional care as needed
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and zero points on license; with personal vehicle
• Legally able to work within the United States
