Prominent family in New York City seeks a proactive, responsible, very organized and detail-oriented House Manager / Family Assistant to assist with the service, coordination, management, and maintenance of their Upper East Side Residence. The position is full-time, Live-In and consists of a 5 days Monday through Friday workweek, approximately 10:00 am to 7:00pm with flexibility to work additional hours as necessary.

This individual will act as gatekeeper to the family and organize all aspects of their life. This individual will be a motivated self-starter and possess a “no task is too big or small” attitude. The family has three school-aged children and the individual must be willing to work with the children as needed. The candidate must have exceptional time management and task prioritization skills in order to efficiently assist with the running of the residence. The residence is fully staffed and the individual would be working with multiple Nannies, a Housekeeper as well as a Chauffeur. Willingness to travel to the families Hamptons residence in the summer is required. Additionally, willingness to be hands on with the children as needed is also a must.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Serving as an all around gatekeeper to the principal
• Managing all vendor and contractor relationships including calendaring, accounts payable, project management, etc.
• Personal shopping, stock procurement, grocery shopping, running errands, and concierge work
• Assisting in the daily care of the children, primarily the middle child (10 years old)
• Ensuring the residence is in pristine guest-readiness condition at all times
• Demonstrating a hands-on approach to daily house maintenance
• Adept in light cooking; willing and able to step in when needed and cook
• Assisting with calendar planning, scheduling, travel coordination, and 
meeting logistics
• Oversight of all deliveries, projects and general maintenance of the residence; making client aware of any necessary repairs or purchases that are beyond the scope of the household staff

• Strong command of English language and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 – 10 years related experience working in a formal private home in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year College or University PREFERRED
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude
• Polished, poised, and professional; strong time management skills and task prioritization
• Exceptional eye for detail and organizational skills
• Flexibility in scheduling
• Incredibly hands-on approach to household management; experience and ability to provide formal and informal service
• Technology savvy with proficiency in both Mac and PC systems and smart home systems; adept in operating smart home technology and accompanying security systems
• Legally able to work in the United States for any employer
