Prominent family seeks a proactive, responsible, obsessively organized and detail-oriented House Manager to assist with the service, coordination, management, and maintenance of their three residences. The position is full-time, with option to Live-in or Live-Out and consists of approximately 5 working days per week, approximately 8:30am-7:30pm, year round with a constant need for overriding flexibility to work on weekends, travel or work overtime as needed. The ideal candidate will thrive in an unpredictable, high-pressured, and unstructured environment.

This individual will act as gatekeeper to the principal and organize all aspects of their life. The family consists of Mr, Mrs and four children and two border collies. The family keeps a Kosher home, so knowledge of such is preferred. The family is open to consider candidates who can learn and comply accordingly. A keen eye is important to preserve the aesthetic of the residence. This individual will be a motivated self-starter and possess a “no task is too big or small” attitude. Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: management of household staff, food preparation and service, on-site vendor management, grounds keeping, household inventory management, chauffeuring and automobile maintenance, pet care and additional necessary errands. Strong leadership skills are essential, as this individual must onboard, train, manage, and inspire many subordinate members of the domestic staff. The candidate must have exceptional time management and task prioritization skills in order to efficiently assist with the running of the residence.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Serving as an all around gatekeeper to the principal
• Assisting with calendar planning, scheduling, travel coordination, and 
meeting logistics
• Personal shopping, stock procurement, grocery shopping, running errands, and concierge work
• Demonstrating a hands-on approach to daily house maintenance
• Responsible for onboarding and training of additional household staff including overseeing their related tasks, responsibilities and schedules
• Must be fiscally responsible with the ability to manage budgets
• Ensuring the residence is in pristine guest-readiness condition at all times
• Traveling to all residences, domestic and international, on an as needed basis
• Providing formal and informal food service and service as well as planning and execution of small to large scale events
• Willingness to learn the basics of a kosher home
• Electronic maintenance, ensuring all laptops, phones, etc. are charged and ready for the day
• Knowledge of and ability to operate smart home systems (Crestron and Savant)
• Managing all vendor and contractor relationships including calendaring, accounts payable, project management, etc.
• Oversight of all deliveries, renovation projects and general maintenance of the residence; making client aware of any necessary repairs or purchases that are beyond the scope of the household staff
• Ensuring the proper care of fine art, furnishing, and wardrobe
• Light childcare and pet care when needed including scheduling appointments, medication, washing and bathing of the pets and cooking light, healthy, and fresh meals for the children when needed
• Maintaining vehicles and chauffeuring as the need arises


• Strong command of English language; superb communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 – 7+ years related experience working in a similar role for a private estate or family
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year College or University PREFERRED
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude
• Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work long hours and overtime as needed
• Polished, poised, and professional; strong time management skills and task prioritization
• Incredibly hand on approach to household management; experience and ability to provide formal and informal service / food service
• Adept in light cooking; willing and able to step in when needed and cook for the family and children
• Familiarity with a Kosher home, or willingness to learn
• Comfortable and confident working in high stress, fast-paced environments where the utmost discretion and confidentiality are required
• Exceptional “razor-sharp” eye for detail and organizational skills, aesthetically-minded
• Technology savvy with proficiency in both Mac Operating systems as well as smart home systems; adept in operating smart home technology and accompanying security systems
• Willing and able to work in a home with children and pets, providing occasional care as needed
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and zero points on license; company vehicle will be provided
• Valid Passport required; willing and available to travel with the family both domestic and abroad as needed
• Legally able to work within the United States
